Ep 51: Masterminds: How to create and structure a business peer group (with guests Jamie Golden, Bri McKoy, and Kendra Adachi)
/This episode is for you if you’re interested in creating a mastermind group to grow your business.
In the fall of 2018, I was invited into a freelance mastermind group of just three other women. At the time I was a little lost in my online career. I had some ideas but no action plan and my current growth had stalled out. This group started meeting once a month over Skype, and since that time I have launched this podcast, landed a book deal, and grown my online platform faster than any other year in the last decade.
Yes, I had to create and execute my own work, but having the support and accountability to the mastermind sped up my timeline. In our monthly meetings, we brainstorm, problem-solve, and set goals that keep our businesses moving forward.
Over the years I’ve been in several different mastermind-type groups, all that served different functions and all with varying degrees of success in helping one another. So I have thoughts about what works, what doesn’t, and what are a few of the keys to setting up a mastermind that is beneficial for every member.
